Hobi sensed your discomfort and pulled you aside, hugging you when you told him what was wrong. But formal events were where you tended to compare yourself to the female idols you encountered, lamenting your obvious differences from them. You didn’t mind that he got excited about how cute your short height was, in fact it was quite sweet. Because of his enthusiasm about it, you didn’t feel bad about your height very often, but when special events occurred that warranted wearing heels, he playfully teased you about STILL being so short, and that was what upset you. Hobi loved to refer to you as travel sized or fun sized. He thought you were the most adorable thing he had ever seen. He did, however, insist on proving to you he saw you as a woman, and showing you that he did indeed find you to be incredibly sexy. You eventually told him it was something you were uncomfortable with, and he was very understanding of your feelings. You worried, however, that he saw you as cute and childlike rather than a sexy grown woman like you wanted him to see you as. He didn’t mind having to lean down to kiss you, he hardly thought about the fact that he was doing so. It wasn’t an important factor in his opinion. Yoongi: Honestly Yoongi hardly noticed your height on a daily basis. He explained that he only teased you about your height because he found it so cute. When you explained, he felt absolutely terrible for having inadvertently reinforced your insecurity. Jin was horrified, asking you what was wrong with worry in his voice. One day you just kind of broke down a little about it, getting teary-eyed. He called you cute nicknames like peanut and munchkin. He would jokingly pretend to use your head as an armrest, or stand up very straight so you couldn’t reach when you tried to kiss him. Jin: You always felt weird about how drastic your height difference looked in pictures and that sort of thing, so the fact that Jin was always (lovingly) teasing you about being short didn’t help. He reassured you that your height didn’t make you any less attractive, in fact it was often pretty adorable.
When you told him, it hurt his heart a little that you thought he would think any less of you because of your height. Eventually he started to notice you acting weird about certain things so he asked you what was wrong. You found yourself getting embarrassed that he had to lean down so far to kiss you, or when you couldn’t reach something on a higher shelf. Namjoon: You knew that Namjoon liked taller girls with long legs, so you always felt a little insecure about being so short. Interpret “short” however you want, just know that as the smollest of beans (I’m 5′0″) I was imagining someone closer to my height, give or take a few inches. So since I did a request for a reaction to their S/O being taller than them, as a short person myself I had to write this one. BTS Reaction: Their S/O is insecure about being much shorter than them.
